When not performing music professionally, Heather teaches the Alexander Technique, a method of movement awareness and re-education. The Alexander Technique helps individuals understand how their body is designed for ease and efficiency of movement, and with careful retraining it can change movement patterns and reduce postural problems, pain, repetitive strain injuries, and tension problems.
