September. 30th: Dvořák’s Cello Concerto—often described as the “king” of the cello concertos—continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Following the concerto will be a community-first: a classical “jam session.” Amateurs from Kamloops join forces with our musicians to rehearse and perform a one-of-a-kind (Slavonic) dance party.

October 1st: The Symphony explores multiple versions of the old and new. We begin with Dvořák’s New World Symphony, which continues to captivate audiences with its combination of sounds from Europe and North America. Then, in a Kamloops first, we conclude by combining the motivational hip-hop of local Cree artist K.A.S.P. with the traditional sounds of the Orchestra.

October 2nd: Enjoy the captivating blend of sounds from Europe and North America with Dvořák’s New World Symphony, paired with his stunning Cello Concerto as the Kamloops Symphony caps off the New World Festival in Salmon Arm.

K.A.S.P., Brandon Peters, K-9, and J. Thorn, hip-hop artists
