Introduction to the Alexander Technique
(1 day class)
Practical experiments will be used to learn how to notice tightening, release muscle tension, re-establish better balance and move more efficiently. Participants will explore techniques to gain body awareness, allowing them to move in a more free and enjoyable manner. Each one-time class is 2 hours in length and is limited to between 8 and 12 students.
Session: Friday, March 23: 1:00 – 3:00pm

Fee: $30 (+ $10 registration fee)

Jan. 18, 19, and 23rd – afternoon lesson spots at the home studio near Main St.

Jan. 21 – afternoon lesson spots at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra school of music (downtown).

Feb. 2, 3 – mid-day teaching spots at the home studio near Main St.

Feb. 4 – afternoon teaching spots at the VSO School of Music (downtown).

Four week Alexander Technique group class, VSO School of Music

Principles of the Alexander Technique
(4 week course)
In this interactive class, students will explore the principles of the Alexander Technique and greatly expand their body awareness. Tools will be provided allowing participants to make better choices about how they use their body including how to evaluate balance, freedom and efficiency of movement. An individual one-hour private session with the instructor is included, allowing for an in-depth analysis of each student. Each course is limited to between 5 to 7 students

Schedule: Saturdays: 10:30 – 12:00pm, November 19, 26, December 3 and 10
Fee: $200, includes 6 hours of class time and 1 private lesson of 1 hour
