Heather Walker, Susanne Bullock, and Donna Falconer have each had careers performing with numerous orchestras, opera companies, chamber music groups, and other ensembles throughout British Columbia and abroad.  Heather and Susanne performed many years together in symphony orchestras, and Donna and Susanne previously performed chamber music as a duo, but it wasn’t until 2012 that the three came together to form a trio.  In the coming year the West Isle Winds will be performing concerts in Victoria for the Health Arts Society, and at the Chemainus Classical Concert Series. They are very pleased to be performing for the congregation of Trinity United Church Nanaimo.

Vancouver Island Symphony Education Shows, Jan. 2013

Back by VERY popular demand, the Vancouver Island Symphony will perform Mayhem in the Museum of Music on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Port Theatre in Nanaimo.

Considered to be one of Pierre Simard’s best written Educational Programs, Mayhem in the Museum of Music focuses heavily on the orchestra itself, and its process of growing over the centuries from strings only to full-fledged symphony.

Students will enjoy hearing the different sections of the orchestra as the ghost composer’s come to help Jimmy, George Friedrich Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven and Jean Sibelius to name a few.

Be sure to book your tickets early for Mayhem in the Museum of Music.  Two performances ONLY at The Port Theatre in Nanaimo.
