Vancouver Island Chamber Music Fest

Heather will be performing at the Vancouver Island Chamber Music Festival on February 24th in Nanaimo, B.C.  She is a member of the Mt. Benson Brass Werks, a brass trio that was one of eight groups selected for the festival.  They will be performing pieces by Bach, Muczynski, Verhelt, McDougal, and Fink.

Alberta Ballet’s magical version of the delightful Christmas story returns with riveting storytelling that will usher young and old alike into a rich and festive holiday mood. Choreographed by Edmund Stripe, with spectacular sets and costumes by Emmy Award-winning designer Zack Brown, this production takes place in the opulent grandeur of turn of the 20th century Imperial Russia. Danced to the glorious Tchaikovsky score, played live by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, this production displays every cent of the $1.5 million budget through the stunning sets and elaborate costumes. With scores of dancing children, mice dressed as soldiers and snowflakes dressed as princesses, this ballet is pure entertainment for the whole family and a great addition to your holiday traditions.

Tickets: please email us if you would like to purchase tickets for this concert and we will let you know when they go on sale. Join the Band of the Fifteenth Field Regiment for a concert to mark the arrival of fall season and to salute the Canadian Forces.
During these three performances, you will be treated a wide variety of music from wild dances to contemplative sonorities with some good old military marches added to the mix as the band does its best to recognize all those things we are so fortunate to enjoy in our daily lives. Special guest Phil Moriarity will sing with the band as part of our tribute to the men and women of the Canadian Forces.

This concert is a fundraiser for the BC Military Music Society, the BC Mainland Military Family Resource Society and the Citadel Society.
