Vancouver Opera Orchestra

Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra

Based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, the Vancouver Island Symphony, under the artistic direction of Pierre Simard, is one of Canada’s youngest professional symphony orchestras.  The orchestra performs a wide variety of repertoire, including outreach concerts in other communities and educational concerts for elementary and secondary schools. www.vancouverislandsymphony.com

Band of the Fifteenth Field Artillery Regiment

The Artillery Band is a vibrant part of the music scene in Vancouver, BC, Canada.  In addition to being a first class wind ensemble and marching band, the band boasts smaller chamber music ensembles which perform for community outreach concerts.  The band performs more than 100 engagements per year and has performed through out BC, across Canada, into the United States, Germany, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands.   www.militarymusic.ca

The Bessborough Brass

The Bessborough Brass is one of Vancouver’s finest brass chamber ensembles.  Since 1990, this group of five professional musicians has performed throughout Metro Vancouver, across Canada, in Hong Kong and the United States, together and as members of a larger group, The 15th Field Artillery Band.  They have extensive and varied repertoire, from dixieland to jazz, from classical to pop. The Ad Mare Wind Quintet

Since 2002 the Ad Mare Wind Quintet has performed extensively throughout Vancouver, presenting rich and unusual programs to a wide range of audiences.  This includes live broadcasts on CBC, participation in new music festivals, recital series, and summer music festivals.  The Quintet believes strongly in promoting and performing Canadian Music, and aims to develop audiences and musicians of the future,  performing for secondary school music programs to introduce the woodwind quintet and chamber music in general.  www.admarequintet.com
